Alexander MacLeod, born 1791, had a wife Flora, whose maiden surname is unknown. In 1841 Alexander was a farmer in Ruisgarry, living there with six children. It is not known what happened to the family when the many small plots in Ruisgarry were reorganised into larger crofts in 1845. It is possible that they emigrated.
