112870: Peter MacLeod
Peter, born 1818, was the son of Neil MacLeod and Effie Fraser of Borve. The family later moved to the Brusda area of Ruisgarry.
Peter became a farmer marrying Margaret Ferguson of Ruisgarry, where they made their home. Together they were to have eight children. With the re-organisation of the crofts in 1845, the family emigrated to Framboise, Cape Breton.
