Flora, born 1835, was the daughter of Malcolm Ferguson and Mary Morrison of Ruisgarry. In 1845, with the re-organisation of Ruisgarry’s small crofts into larger ones, the family emigrated to Fergusons’ Lake, Cape Breton.
