113265: Angus MacAskill

Angus MacAskill, born 1824, was the son of ferryman Kenneth MacAskill and Marion MacLean of Borve. Following the deaths of his parents, Angus stayed in Borve for a few years. In his household were his sisters Catherine and Helen, and Helen’s husband Angus MacMillan. In 1854, with the clearance of crofts for Borve Farm, Helen and her husband were moved to 9 Cluer. Angus, who remained unmarried, went with them.
