113438: John MacLeod
John (1813-1892) was the son of Allan Bàn MacLeod and Ann MacLeod of Sheabie. John too became a crofter in Borve, with a plot of 9 acres. It may well have been at the site later known as Tobhta Iain ‘ic Ailein.
John married Mary MacKay of Borve, with whom he was to have at least nine children. In 1854, with the clearance of crofts to make way for Borve Farm, the family was moved to 2 Lickisto, Harris.
