11441: Angus Macleod
Aonghas Iain
Angus (1839-1914) was a son of John Macleod and Mary Macleod, 1 Habost. His father died in 1850 and in 1851 Angus aged 12 was working on the croft. The family moved to the maternal croft at 1 Garyvard.
At Keose, in 1867, he married Isabella Macdonald, 14 Balallan. Angus and Isabella settled at 14 Balallan and they had three children. Donald was the only child who survived.
In 1873 the family moved to Stornoway before emigrating to Canada. The family settled at Lingwick, Quebec.
Angus returned to Lewis after Isabella's death and lived in Stornoway.
In 1893 he married Henrietta Macphail, Bragar and they lived at 13 Garden Road, Stornoway.
