114873: John H Mackenzie
John H (born 1845) was the son of Murdo Mackenzie and Mary Macrae; it is not certain where the family were living at the time of his birth.
In 1851 the family are recorded in the census at North Tolsta. His father was teaching at the school and they lived in the Schoolhouse.
In 1852 John’s father died and the family moved to Stornoway.
John married Margaret Maclean, of Stornoway, but it is not certain where they settled.
