114918: Anne Macleod
Anne Macleod (1855-1890) was the daughter of Angus Macleod of Old Carnish.
Ann married Alexander Stewart, of 17 Back, and the couple had three children; his address was given as Bayble at the time of their marriage (at Coll), and hers as Coll. It is known that Alexander was a teacher at Bayble School for a time but that could have been prior to the marriage.
In 1888, when Alexander took the job of headmaster at North Tolsta Junior Secondary School, the family moved to the Schoolhouse, North Tolsta.
Anne and two of her children died in 1890. He widower resigned and left Tolsta shortly after; it is not known where he went.
