114923: John Stewart

John (1885-1890) was the son of Alexander Stewart and Ann Macleod; it is not certain where the family were living at the time of his birth. His mother had links to Old Carnish and his father to 17 Back, but his father was also a teacher and known to have worked at Bayble School at some point.

In 1888 the family settled at the Schoolhouse North Tolsta.

In 1890 John’s mother, and young sister died; it is not clear if this happened before or after his own death. After his death his father, resigned and left Tolsta with his elder brother.
