115121: Norman Mackay

Norman from 2 Mealista was married to Christina Buchanan, 7 Mealista and they lived at 2 Mealista. They had six children – Kate born 1800; Donald 1808-1896; Mary born 1811; Malcolm 1817-1895; Murdo born 1818 and Neil 1824-1904. 

In 1837, when Mealista was cleared, Norman and family emigrated to Cape Breton, then in 1843 his widow and family removed to Lingwick Township in the Eastern Townships of Quebec.
