115188: Julia MacLeod
Julia, born 1853, was the daughter of crofter Neil MacLeod and Marion MacAskill of Borve. In 1854 the crofts were cleared to make way for Borve Farm and the family became cottars. In August 1855 they left Plymouth, sailing to Australia on the Royal Albert. Two year old Julia suffered convulsions, dying at sea only four weeks into the voyage.
