115250: Neil MacLeod

Neil, born 1829, was the son of John and Catherine MacLeod of Pabbay. By 1851 the family was living in Borve, Berneray. In 1854, with the clearance of crofts to make way for Borve Farm, the family became cottars. Although records show his parents and siblings emigrated to Australia the following year, Neil is not listed with them.
