Mary (born 1828) was a daughter of Malcolm Macleod and Margaret Maclean, 8 Mealista. In 1837, when Mealista was cleared, Mary moved with her widowed mother and siblings to 2 Old Brenish. In the 1849 relotting they obtained 9/10 Brenish, which was split in the 1860s and they obtained 9 Brenish.
Mary married John Mackay, 8 Brenish and they lived as cottars on 9 Brenish. They had one daughter.
