Colin (1891-1962) was a son of Angus Macleod and Ann Campbell, 2 Habost.
He was a Bombardier in the Ross Mountain Battery in the First World War. His name is mentioned in Loyal Lewis: Roll of Honour 1918-1918.
He was a bachelor at 2 Habost and ran a shop, Buth Chailein, on the croft, until the 1950s. He also served as a Justice of the Peace.
Colin died suddenly outside the Stornoway Gazette office in Stornoway when he was leaving a Ross Battery reunion. His sister, Ciorstaidh Anna, continued to run the shop for a few years.
