Angus MacDonald, born 1819, was the son of Mary MacLeod and her husband. In 1841 he was living with his mother in Borve. A few years later they moved to Deiraclete.

Angus married Ann MacLeod, with whom he had eight children. In 1867 they emigrated to Seaforth Village, Ontario.
