Rory Montgomery (1857-1891) was a son of Murdo Montgomery and Margaret Macarthur, 25 Ranish.
His father died in 1861 and the family moved to the maternal croft at 8 Cromore.
Rory's brother, Robert lived at 17 Cromore and it is believed that all three brothers from Ranish lived there.
In Lochs, in 1883, he married Isabella Macarthur, 26 Cromore. The couple lived at 17 Cromore.
Rory died aged 33
