Malcolm, born 1801, was the son of Donald MacCusbic. Malcolm tenanted a farm in Borve and is listed on the rental roll for 1830, paying annual rent of £4.10s. He married Ann MacKillop, with whom he had at least five children. The family emigrated to West Bay Marshes, Cape Breton during the 1840s.
