William Paterson
William, born 1823, was the son of Norman Paterson and Ann MacLeod of Borve. Their home was probably at the site now known as Tobhta Thormoid ‘ic Shomhairle. In 1854, with the clearance of the crofts for Borve Farm, the family was moved to Meavaig South. William married Effie Campbell of 5 Scadabay.
