117701: Ann MacDonald

Ann, born 1846, was the daughter of Neil MacDonald and Christina MacLean of Griminish. During the 1850s the family moved to Borve, Berneray, where Ann’s father was grieve of Borve Farm. The site of their home was later known as Tobhta Nèill ‘ic Lachlainn. In 1866 Ann married farm servant Angus MacAskill of Tahay. They lived as cottars at Port nan Long.
