Donald Roderick (1925-2000) was a son of Kenneth Macleod and Christina Mackenzie, 11 Valtos. He was born after the family relocated to 2 Reef.

Donald served in the Royal Navy during the Second World War. He married Alice Maclennan from Kyle of Lochalsh; the couple lived at Holm Road and had one daughter.

Donald's nickhame, Doidh or Doy, derived from his own pronounciation of his name as a small child.
