William Macdonald (1947-2018) born on 03.06.1947 twin son of Roderick Macdonald of 19 Balallan and Kate Mary Martin formerly of 76 Balallan. He was raised at 19 Balallan along with his 4 siblings. On leaving school he trained as a marine engineer and he spent his working life working deep sea across the continents. William married and had 3 of a family. He subsequently remarried and lived for some time in Stornoway. At the time of his death on 20.12.2018 William was living in the family home at 19 Balallan.
