119125: Ann Buchanan

Ann (born 1808) was a daughter of Norman Buchanan and Christina Macdonald, 6 Old Carnish. She was the second wife of Malcolm Macaulay, Pennydonald. In 1841, they are living in Old Carnish and in 1851 at Cross, Ness.

Ann and Malcolm had six children: Donald born c1833; Murdo born c1836; Margaret born c1838; Roderick born 1.3. 1841; Catherine born c1844 and Norman born c1850. They also raised John from Malcolm’s previous marriage.

In 1851, the family emigrated to the Eastern Townships of Quebec, settling initially in Lingwick Township and then Weedon Township.

Ann died in 1884 and is buried in Lingwick Protestant Cemetery.
