119126: Malcolm Macaulay

Malcolm, son of Angus from Pennydonald, was married first to Margaret Maclean and they had one son. His second marriage was to Ann Buchanan, 6 Old Carnish. In 1841, they are living in Old Carnish and in 1851 at Cross, Ness. 

Malcolm and Ann had six children: Donald born c1833; Murdo born c1836; Margaret born c1838; Roderick born 1.3. 1841; Catherine born c1844 and Norman born c1850. They also raised John from Malcolm’s previous marriage.

In 1851, the family emigrated to the Eastern Townships of Quebec, settling initially in Lingwick Township and then Weedon Township.

Malcolm died in 1882 and is buried in Lingwick Protestant Cemetery.
