Iain from Kinlochewe was married to Jessie Helen Macrae, Miavaig Farm and House, later 35 Cliff. They moved around quite a bit, including a spell in Tarbert, Harris and finally settled in Inverness, where he was promoted to Chief Constable. They had two sons.
