Peter Murdo (1939-2020) was a son of Angus Matheson and Murdina Macdonald, 24 Crowlista. He married Flora Macaulay from Baleshare, North Uist where they settled and had two sons.

Although Peter Murdo spent more of his life in North Uist he remained closely connected to Uig. He was a church elder for 37 years.
