Donald Alexander (1906-1964) was a son of Angus Matheson, 5 Brenish and Margaret Macritchie, 3b Aird Uig. He was born at Seaforth House, 23 Scotland Street, Stornoway before moving with his family to 20 James Street. He followed a career in banking and worked in Paisley before moving to Portree, Isle of Skye, where he worked in the Bank of Scotland.

Donald Alexander was married to Catherine Mitchell Macdonald from Stornoway and they had a son and daughter.
