Andrew Matheson Macphail (1925-2018) was a son of John Macphail and Christina Ann Matheson, 19 Gravir.
Andrew served with the Merchant Navy. He emigrated to New Zealand with his sister Mary, her husband and her son.
He lived at Paraparaumu, and died in New Zealand. Andrew's ashes were scattered at sea in one of his favourite butterfish net areas, just out of Wellington at Titahi Bay in New Zealand. He was the last of the Macphail clan of 19 Gravir Lochs.
