Donald Macarthur (1822-1884) was a son of Malcolm Macarthur an Isabella Finlayson, Cromore. It is suggested the family lived at 13 Cromore.
In Lochs, in 1853, he married Mary Macleod from Valtos. Donald and Mary settled at Cromore and they had at least two children.
The family moved to Stornoway.
