Marion (1801-1871) was a daughter of Malcolm Smith and Isabella Maclennan, 5 Buanish. The village was cleared in 1826 and the family moved to her uncle's croft at 8 Tong.
In 1832, she married Roderick Macdonald, 9 Tong. Marion and Roderick initially lived at Holm, moved to 12 Steinish, and c1853 settled at 1 Aird Tong. The couple had at least six children.
