Margaret Martin (born 1829) in Harris, was a daughter of Murdo Martin "Murchadh Buachaille", Laxay, and was brought up at 5 Habost by her uncle Finlay and his wife.
In 1852 she married Murdoch Macleod, 3 Garyvard. Margaret and Murdoch settled at 3 Garyvard and they had three children, two of whom survived.
