Roderick Macrae
Roderick Macrae (born 1888) was a son of Roderick Macrae and Mary Macleod, 6 Habost. The croft was overcrowded and the family moved to Back of Wall.
He served in the Seaforth Highlanders in the First World War and was wounded three times. Roderick's name is mentioned in Loyal Lewis: Roll of Honour 1914-18.
He was living in Govan in 1925 when he married Mary Montgomery, 4 Balallan. Roderick and Mary settled at 2 Scotland Street, Stornoway.
