Duncan Macaskill (1785-1870) was a son of Allan Macaskill from the Isle of Taransay, Harris.
He married Catherine Macinnes, Aimhnamsuidhe, Harris and they had a son, John.
Duncan was widowed and in Lochs, In 1824, he married widow Christina Morrison, Isle of Taransay who had a daughter, Marion. Duncan and Christina had a son, Allen in Harris.
The family moved to Lewis and in 1851 and 1861 they were living at 7 Habost.
