Malcolm Macdonald (born 1770) was a son of Angus Macdonald from Bernera. He was married to Christina Macleod or Mackenzie and they lived in Steimreway and Old Lemreway.  The couple had eight children and would be elderly by the time they were evicted from Old Lemreway in 1843. It is believed that they went to 18 Laxay with their son, Hector and may have lived at 9 Habost with their son, James.
