Catherine Mackenzie (1852-1923) was a daughter of Donald Mackenzie and Margaret Maciver, 10 Laxay.

In 1884, at Garynahine, Uig, she married Donald Macdonald, 13 Habost. Catherine and Donald settled at 13 Habost and they had eight children, six of whom survived.
