John Angus Kennedy
John Angus Kennedy (1900-1927) was a son of Donald Kennedy and Catherine Mackay, 2b Calbost.
He joined the 2nd Batallion of the Scottish Rifles and was known as an accomplished lightweight boxer. John Angus served in the First World War and is mentioned in Loyal Lewis: Roll of Honour 1914-1918.
John Angus emigrated with his sister, Margaret, on the SS Metagama in 1923. They lived in Detroit, Michigan where he received a head injury in an amateur boxing match and died aged 26.
