Murchadh Ailein Ruairidh
Murdo (1897-1916) was a son of Allan Smith and Anna Macleod, 5 Calbost.
He served in the 7th Camerons Service Number 3/5660 and the 2nd Battalion of the Gordon Highlanders, Service Number 3/7385. Murdo was killed at Puchevillers on the 2nd December 1916 aged 19. He is buried in the Puchevillers British Cemetery and his name is commemorated on the Pairc War Memorial, Loyal Lewis: Roll of Honour 1914-1918 and the Lewis War Memorial in Stornoway.
