John (1840-1910) was a son of Norman Macleod and Christina Mackenzie, 6 Calbost.
In Lochs, in 1869, he married Mary Macleod, 15 Cromore. John and Mary settled at 6 Calbost as cottars and they had nine children, six of whom survived.
