Angus (1834-1858) was a son of John Maclean and Isabella Macleod, 16 Old Mangersta. He was the first husband of  Elizabeth Mackenzie, 1 Aird Uig, whom he married in March 1858. He died of smallpox in Aird in September of that year and his son Angus was born the following February.

His brother Murdo was informant on his death.
