16492: Kenneth Macleod

Kenneth from Carloway married Margaret nee Maclennan, Bosta; with issue. After Margaret’s death Kenneth married again – a widow (known as Teenie so may have been named Christina) who had one daughter. Her husband was taking home peats in a creel when he saw some of the village men trying to pull a plank of wood to shore – wood was very precious to the islanders at that time and he went to help them. While they were struggling with the wood a freak wave washed over them and Teenie’s husband was drowned.
