Neil John (born 1924), a son of Neil Macaulay and Isabella Macdonald, was brought up at, and settled at, 2 Kirkibost . In 1983 Neil John married Annie Macdonald from Earshader and they had four children. Neil John worked as a fisherman and was the owner of the Golden Chance and the Astronaut.
