Donald Robert Macrae (1922-), 12b Keose served with the Army during the Second World War and fought in France, Belgium, Holland and Germany. He was wounded in Germany. After his marriage to Dolina Mackay, 10 Bennadrove Road, Stornoway, they moved to Tain.

On VE Day, Donald was in a Military Hospital in Brussels, Belgium having been wounded five days earlier.
