Norman Macinnes
Norman (1876-1914) was the youngest son of Angus Macinnes and Catherine Mackenzie from 1 Breaclete. In 1906 Norman married Ann Macdonald from 6 Hacklete; the couple had five children.
Norman was the first man from Bernera to lose his life in the First World War; he drowned when HMS Hermes was torpedoed in 1914.
