Andrew (1864-1917) was a son of Donald Nicolson and Mary Matheson, 9 Lemreway.
The family later moved to 26 Lemreway then 15 Lemreway.
At Fraserburgh, in 1892, he married Catherine Morrison, 44 Gravir. Andrew and Catherine were Cottars at 44 Gravir and they had eight children.
Around 1914 the family moved to Anderson Road, Stornoway.
