Kenneth Macleod

Kenneth Macleod

Kenneth Macleod (1837-1919) was a son of John Macleod and Anne Maclean, 8 Calbost.

In  Lochs, in 1863, he married Mary Macmillan, 17 Crossbost. Kenneth and Mary were cottars at 8 Calbost  and they had ten children.

Like many other families in the area, the scourge of Pulmonary Tuberculosis decimated this family.

The family moved to 3 Marvig where they acquired a croft after Kenneth's cousin John Maclean, "Iain Dhomhnaill Choinnich" moved to Stornoway.
