Colin (1821-1892) was a son of Roderick Mackenzie and Catherine Macaulay, 3 Old Eishken.
In 1835 the family moved to 5 Old Lemreway and in 1843 to 12 Crossbost.
In Crossbost, in 1851, he married Margaret Macarthur, 20 Cromore. Colin and Margaret settled at 8 Laxay and they had seven children.
