John (1829-1903) was a son of Murdo Matheson and Mary Macleod, 23 Old Gravir. His widowed mother obtained 13 Gravir in the 1852 lotting.
In Lochs, in 1859, he married Barbara Macleod, 15 Cromore. John and Barbara settled at 13 Gravir and they had ten children
