25319: Peter Maciver, Reverend
Peter Maciver (1839-1921) was a son of Donald Maciver and Margaret Maclennan, 13 Laxay. He studied at Glasgow University and at the Free Church College, Glasgow. Ordained to Morven, Argyllshire in 1878 and translated in 1882 to Bowmore, Islay. Peter became a Senior Minister in 1910.
At Derby, in 1892, he married Anna Georgina Macphail from Sleat, Isle of Skye. Peter and Anna Georgina lived at Bowmore Islay and they had four children.
Peter was widowed in 1916 and at the time of his death in 1921 he was living at 18 Upper Grey Street, Edinburgh.
