Dugald Macleod (1892-1917) was a son of Alexander Macleod and Annabella Kennedy, 13 Calbost
He served as a Lance Corporal, S/N 3/5620, in the 2nd Gordon Highlanders during the First World War was twice wounded, last time at Ypres. Dugald was medically discharged and died at home in 1917 aged 25. He was awarded the Mons Star.
Dugald is buried at Gravir Cemetery and his name is commemorated in Loyal Lewis, on Pairc War Memorial and on Lewis War Memorial Stornoway.
