Mary Ann, born in 1909, was a daughter of Donald and Isabella nee Macarthur from 4 Crulivig. After Garynahine was lotted her family moved to No 3. She was the District Nurse in Balallan from 1944 to 1949 but resigned her post after her marriage to Donald Macdonald from 52b Balallan. They settled at 51b Balallan where they raised one daughter.
