26518: Lily Ferguson
Lily, born 1918 at Kinresort, was a daughter of Finlay Ferguson and Lillias Maciver, Morsgail. She was educated at the Nicolson Institute and in Aberdeen, kept house for visiting cabinet ministers in Skelpick in 1939 and worked in Glasgow before returning to Uig. See her account of her early life.
She married Malcolm Macdonald, who was gamekeeper at Morsgail after her father, and they lived in the gamekeeper’s house until their retirement, when they built a house at Kinlochroag. They had three children.
